On February 18, 2018 Nadine and Mike said “I Do” on the beautiful mountain side at Le Belvedere. For a February day in the Ottawa region the weather was absolutely perfect and the sunset during their wedding ceremony was breathtaking. Even though it was winter, Nadine and Mike decided they would like to be married outside and to prepare they had beautiful blankets made for all their guests to help keep them snuggled in and warm.
We started the day at the Wakefield Grand (which is incredible by the way!) with the guys getting ready. The Grand is renovated; but still with all the original charm and it is both cozy and elegant all at the same time. It has white wood walls and beautiful sitting areas complete with fireplaces. Outside you can also cuddle up beside a crackling fire and enjoy the scenery of the beautiful hillside.
After we had some time with the guys we then went to Le Belvedere where the girls were getting ready. When we arrived the cottage was buzzing with excitement as the beautiful bride and her gals had just arrived from hair and make up and they looked stunning. They had spent a morning being pampered by Showpony and One Fine Beauty. After the girls had gotten into their dresses, Nadine and Mike had the most beautiful first look outside on the balcony of the cottage. They were beyond adorable seeing each other for the first time. These two are crazy for each other and I could tell early on just how much they care for one another by the little arm squeezes and exchanged glances I caught them doing at the engagement session. The wedding day was no different and everyone could see how much they were beaming.
The decor, floral, and attention to detail that could be found at their reception was jaw dropping and as someone who LOVES details I was like a giddy teenager when I got to photograph all that gorgeousness. It looked straight out of a magazine thanks to the team at Le Belvedere alongside Pollen Nation (who did all the floral). The entire day was like a dream and the service and food at the reception were no exception. The staff were incredible and the three course dinner was delicious.
It was my pleasure to document Nadine and Mike’s day and I am so excited for all the adventures they have yet to embark upon. Congratulations guys! Thank you for inviting me to be a part of your day! – xo
