Seven years ago, Jasmine & Christian had their dream wedding all planned and ready to go; dress bought, venue booked, all the details were set. Then they found out that they were expecting and decided to make their new little family the bigger priority and let go of their big day dream.
They married at City Hall and focused on their little one, never thinking they would ever get an opportunity like they had planned again.
Inspired by the bride and groom themselves, we fabricated a mini dream wedding for just the two of them. Filled with day-of pampering thanks to Ariana Assadi and Kimberly Tondino. The most gorgeously detailed and softly flowing Montgomery gown by Maggie Sottero from With Love Bridal Boutique. A dapper suit paired with purples and greys courtesy of Moore’s Clothing.
The most intricate cake reflecting the escort card table with stained class ruffled detailed all over by Osso Sweet. And floor to ceiling florals across the board in Evermore’s rustic barn. Full Bloom Florals completely transformed the space with the careful eye of Stacey Price from The Design Co. Complimented with full invitation suite and stationery by Wishtree Invitations & Design Inc. and captured by Melissa Kew Photography.
Their dream of having their own big day has now been captured forever.
Vintage furniture pieces paired beautifully with the rustic barn walls and bright pops of colour from the florals and decor. Mixed metals of gold and silver graced the table amongst purple stained goblets and indigo tapered candles. Mixed seating showcased king and queen chairs, RH style farm chairs and a shared bench where florals kiss the floorboards.
The invitations themselves were inspired by all the florals and brought in an element of softness through watercolour and cotton paper. Reflective of the times, a streamlined layout was applied through modern calligraphy and a sans serif font while still keeping it romantic and timeless. The stationery pulled in the same watercolour florals and unified everything together from the “first look” to the big day. The florals were everywhere.
From the bright bouquet packed with roses and buds, to the dusty grey ribbon which fell beautifully across the brides hands as the bride met with her husband sporting a boutonniere created from the same florals to match. Once in the venue, guests were brought to the escort table where a giant gold frame held a sketch of a vase. The florals literally jumped from the frame and came pouring out like a 3D canvas you would see in an Italian museum. Dusty pink and purple roses scattered amongst the escort cards brought the eye down and lead you towards the table which was the piece de resistance. Standing 6ft tall and filling out at the top was a sight one cannot ignore. Full florals and foliage created this centrepiece tree that still allowed for easy conversation while filled the space up towards the gorgeous chandelier.
To say this was just a styled shoot is missing the love behind what was created. Jasmine and Christian finally got the wedding of their dreams and we as vendors, got to partake in someone’s big day while showcasing some of our finest work.
